Mr. Réal Rosaire Brousseau (Ray)
Mr. Réal Rosaire Brousseau, known as Ray, passed away peacefully at Nipissing Serenity Hospice on June 12, 2026, at the age of 77, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Rita, and his first wife, Louise Brousseau (Ayotte). Ray is lovingly remembered by his wife of 45 years, Norma, and his daughters, Susan (Marc), Michele, and Patricia (Adrian). He is also survived by his siblings, Jean-Paul (Françoise), Yvan (Suzanne), René, Johanne (Marvin), Pauline (Daniel), Marc (Susan), and Chantal, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Ray took great pride in being a devoted Grandpa to Carolynne (Kevin), Ainsley (Zach), Spencer (Robyn), Quinton, Eve, Charlie, and Holly, as well as a Great-Grandpa to Luc and Llewyn. Born in Mattice, Ontario, Ray moved to North Bay at 13 and built a successful career as a master painter, culminating in his own business, Ray's Painting. He enjoyed life through good wine, card games, and cheering for the North Bay Battalion, with a particular passion for curling.
