John and Gwendolyn Oswald

The family of John Alan Oswald and Gwendolyn Ann Oswald (Hobbs) announces their passing on July 15, 2026. Alan was in his 93rd year and Gwendolyn in her 92nd. They shared a loving marriage that lasted 71 years, a union marked by their mutual choice for a peaceful conclusion. Alan served proudly in the Canadian Air Force for 30 years, while Gwendolyn was the steadfast support for their family during numerous relocations across Canada and Europe. In their later years, they became active members of the North Bay Yacht Club, forming lasting friendships. They are survived by their daughter Pamela, granddaughter Lindsey, grandson Brandon (Karen), and great-granddaughter Maya. Their son David predeceased them. Following cremation, interment will occur at Forest Lawn Cemetery in North Bay. Donations to a charity of choice are welcomed. Arrangements are entrusted to Martyn Funeral Home.
