He was predeceased by his partner Diane Guillemette, his parents Marie-Ange and Hervé (Margo) Guillemette, his wife Connie, and his siblings Roger Geoffroy (married to Lorraine), Alyre Guillemette (married to Rita), Joanne Palik (married to Paul), Bob Larocque (married to Shelly), Denise Rheault (married to Laurent), Gisele Rheault (married to Gustave), Marcel Camirand and Pierette Mathieu (married to Adelard). Survivors include his children Sylvie Emond (married to Daniel) and Mike Guillemette (married to Louise); grandsons Corey Emond (married to Emilie), Jacob Guillemette and Joseph Guillemette; siblings Norbert Guillemette (married to Linda), Denis Guillemette (married to Rose), Joey Guillemette (married to Nancy), Rolly Larocque (late Cindy), Diane Larocque (late Shawn), Lise Kristjanson (married to Don), Anita Larocque (married to Gary), Anne Denis (married to Alain) and Debbie Gignac (late Grant); brother‑in‑law Dan Camirand (married to Judy); close friend Mary Wellard; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Église Saint‑Vincent‑De‑Paul, 1265 Wyld Street, North Bay, ON. A celebration of life followed at 1:30 p.m. at the North Bay Elks Lodge No., 325 Elks Lane, North Bay, ON. In lieu of flowers, donations to the PADDLE Program were requested.
