David KIJANEN

The family of David Norman Kijanen, known affectionately as Davey or Dave, is heartbroken to announce his sudden passing on April 4, 2026, at the age of 56. Born on March 1, 1970, in Thunder Bay, Ontario, David was a cherished son, father, brother, uncle, and friend, whose kindness and warmth left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He is survived by his beloved daughter Kaitlyn, his mother Leena, siblings Carmen, Heli, Leena, Ian, and Hollis, nieces Shantay, Faith, and Grace, as well as Sharon, Kaitlyn's mother, and brother-in-law Gerry. David was predeceased by his father, Unto. The family finds solace in the belief that he has found eternal peace in Heaven. Memorial donations to St. Joseph's Care Group are appreciated. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
