Dalton John Carmichael of North Bay, Ontario, died on July 21, 2026, at the age of 89. He was born on February 7, 1937. He is survived by his wife, Karen; his daughters, Sandra Fortier (Michael) of Sudbury, Catherine Toste of West Kelowna, British Columbia, and Rebecca Leclair (Denis) of Ottawa; his grandchildren, Zander Fortier, Stephanie Fortier, Amanda Toste, Dani Leclair and Cheri Leclair; and his great‑grandchild, Zayn Fortier. He was predeceased by his sister Beth and his brother‑in‑law Tony Dube. Contributions may be made to Emmanuel United Church or Nipissing Serenity Hospice in his memory.
