Barbara Mary Ellen Laronde of North Bay, Ontario, passed away on August 24, 2026, at the age of 95. She was born on November 15, 1930. Predeceased by her husband Willis Dave Laronde, her children Thomas Edward Laronde and Allan George Laronde, her siblings Verla Moore, Caroline Pridham and Larry Turner, and her parents George and Mary Turner, she is survived by her children Mary Elizabeth Laronde, David Dennis Laronde and Sandra Ann Laronde; grandchildren Barbara, Zachariah, Jasmine, Haley, Katie, Sadie, Willow and Kiiwedin; great‑grandchild Theodore; and siblings Marion Blake, Ron Turner and Marjorie Roy. Visitation was held on Friday, August 28, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and again from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at McGuinty Funeral Home, 591 Cassells Street, North Bay, ON. A Mass of Christian burial took place on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 10:30 AM at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, 5 Harmony Avenue, Temagami, ON. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, Box 148, Temagami, Ontario P0H 2H0.
