Morris CONLON
Morris Conlon passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026, in his 103rd year. He was the beloved husband of the late Alice Mae (Gugelyk) Conlon and loving brother of Billy Conlon. Morris was predeceased by his brother, Ted Conlon, and his sister, Gwen 'Peggy' Garner. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Morris was a veteran of WWII, serving as a Lance Corporal from 1943 to 1945 with the Lincoln and Welland Regiment, 10th Canadian Infantry Brigade, 4th Canadian Armoured Division, and saw action in Europe. He worked for Ontario Hydro for 35 years, starting in forestry in 1948 and ending with rigging crews until his retirement in 1983. Morris enjoyed 43 years in retirement, during which he loved spending time with his family, walking to visit his late wife's gravesite, and feeding animals, especially squirrels. He was kind, caring, resilient, and optimistic. The family would like to extend special thanks to his niece and nephews, Mary Jane MacInnes, John Conlon, and Andy Garner, for their years of support and love. Visitation for Morris will be held at Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls, on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 2-4 p.m. A celebration of his life will be held at the funeral home on Friday afternoon, May 8, 2026, at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
