Michael McCARTHY

Michael McCarthy passed away on May 16, 2026, at the age of 83. He was predeceased by his parents Francis and Dorothy McCarthy, his great-aunt Georgina d'Entremont, his in-laws Wilda and Berkley Foster, his sister Patricia Pulestan, his brothers-in-law Richard Albers, Mike Gallagher, and Bill Foster, and his son-in-law Donald Antonio. Michael is survived by his wife Karen McCarthy, his children Rob Rylands and his wife Judy, Laurie Antonio, Doug Rylands and his wife Barb, and Sean McCarthy. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he affectionately referred to as his greatest joy. Michael is also survived by his sister Mary Albers and her husband Richard, his brother Leo McCarthy and his wife Diane, as well as many sisters- and brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services Inc. in Niagara Falls. If desired, donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
