John PELLEGRINO

John Pellegrino passed away on July 2, 2026, at the age of 72, after a courageous battle with leukemia. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Pellegrino, and their cherished daughters, Tania and Lia Pellegrino, as well as his beloved grandsons, Johnny and Matthew Melnyk. John will also be fondly remembered by his mother-in-law, Ilda Fatica, his siblings, Mary and Pat Pellegrino, and his sister and brother-in-law, Candy and Ernie Bagnulo, in addition to many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Antonio and Felicia Pellegrino, his brother, Frank Pellegrino, his sister, Teresa Andricciola, his brother Salvatore Pellegrino, and his father-in-law, Aldo Fatica. John immigrated to Canada from Sambiase, Italy, at the age of four and went on to earn degrees in history and education from Brock University. He had a successful career in corporate occupational health and safety, earning the designations of CRSP and CHSC. The family is grateful for the exceptional care and kindness shown to John by the physicians, nurses, and staff at the Walker Family Cancer Centre and the Marotta Family Hospital.
