James Griffiths of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, passed away on July 22, 2026, at the age of 94. He is survived by his wife, Isobel; his children, Mark (married to Kelly), Gavin (married to Tracey) and Lynne (married to Karl); and his grandchildren, Payton, Zachary (with McKayla), Brittany, Rachel (with Armand), Cody (with Emma) and Tegan, as well as extended family in Scotland and lifelong friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Project Ploughshares or the Council of Canadians, organizations dedicated to peace, justice and environmental stewardship.
