Hedy Kopeschny

Hedy Kopeschny passed away on August 17, 2026, at the age of 85. She was born on September 2, 1940, in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. Predeceased by her parents, Henry and Nella Kliewer (Stobbe), her husband David Kopeschny (Vic), and her grandson Thomas Kopeschny, she is survived by her children Fred, Deb Kopeschny, Christine and Hans Pauls; her grandchildren Kaitlyn, Luc Lobsinger, Ryan Pauls, Laura and Albert Ivitza; and her great‑grandchildren Carson, Quinn Lobsinger and Nathaniel Ivitza. Visitation was held on Friday, August 21, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Niagara United Mennonite Church, 1775 Niagara Stone Road, Niagara-on-the-Lake. A funeral service followed at 11:00 a.m. at the same location, with burial at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery, 1483 Lakeshore Road, from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. A reception was offered from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the church.
