Doreen Hanna

Doreen Hanna passed away on May 29, 2026, at the age of 86, surrounded by loved ones. She is reunited with her loving husband Billy, who died in 2023, her son Stephen, who died in 2015, and grandson Bernie Jr., who died in 2008. Doreen will be deeply missed by her devoted and loving daughter Karen Olm, her much-loved grandson Justin Olm, and Justin's dad, Bernie Olm. Her cherished granddaughters Skye and Eryn Hanna and their mom, Heidi Topa, will also miss their grandma. Doreen is survived by her loving sister Edna and brother-in-law Noel Kinnon, sister-in-law Liz and brother-in-law John Stanhope-Powers, brother-in-law Bobby and sister-in-law Doreen Hanna, and very dear friends Auriol and Ronnie Miller. She was an adored aunt of Linda, Ian, Lisa, Gary, Andrew, Robert, and chosen aunt of Nikki and Mandy. Doreen will also be missed by her great-nieces and nephews. Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Doreen came to Canada in 1973 with Billy and her children. She was a member of the Irish Club of St. Catharines for over 50 years and served as treasurer for over 38 years. Doreen worked for almost 30 years and retired from Zellers. The family would like to thank the staff at Niagara Long-Term Care for their loving care. Cremation has taken place, and as per Doreen's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral.
