Walter MOCNIAK

Walter Mocniak passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at the age of 77, at his home in Niagara Falls with his friends present. He was the beloved partner of the late Jean MacLaurin, who predeceased him in 2024. Walter is survived by his loving stepchildren Merko and his wife Cindy, Roxann, and Cindy and her husband Greg. He was the cherished grandfather of Dee, Michelle, Laura, John, Kimberly, Jennifer, and Tracey, and 12 great-grandchildren. Walter was the dear brother of the late Eddie and his wife Winnie Mocniak, and the late Janina and her husband George Scibik. He is also survived by his adored nieces and nephews Christine and her husband Andrew Evans, Donna and her husband Matt Collee, Wanda and her husband Robert Brunet, Stephen and his wife Christine Mocniak, and Kathy Lostracco. A celebration of his life will be held at the Canadian Corps, 4674 Ferguson St., Niagara Falls, on Sunday, July 5, 2026, from 12 to 4 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Patterson Funeral Home, 6062 Main St., Niagara Falls.
