Vera Bril

Dr. Vera Bril passed away peacefully on June 30, 2026, surrounded by her family and loved ones. She is survived by her loving nephews, Alex and Robert, and her grand-nephews, Henry and Auley. Dr. Bril was preceded in death by her parents, Zenon and Natalija, and her loving brother, Michael. As a Professor of Medicine in Neurology at the University of Toronto, Dr. Bril was a renowned leader in the field of neurology, making significant contributions to the understanding and treatment of diabetic neuropathy, myasthenia gravis, and other neuromuscular disorders. Her leadership and expertise extended beyond her clinical and scientific accomplishments, as she generously shared her knowledge with patient organizations and the broader medical community. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Patterson Funeral Home in Niagara Falls.
