Tammy E. McCormick-Ferguson
Tammy E. McCormick-Ferguson was born on July 19, 1966, in Niagara Falls, Ontario, and died at home on August 15, 2026, with her daughter Payton present. She spent her life in Niagara, Ontario, and built a career in early childhood development, serving as Executive Director of the Early Childhood Community Development Center, where she helped establish daycare services in Yellowknife and advocated for grandparents raising grandchildren. She also volunteered with the Summer Olympics for athletes with disabilities. Known for her compassion, quiet strength, and sense of humour, Tammy was a devoted friend and family member who enjoyed music, conversation, and time with loved ones. She is survived by her daughter Payton and is remembered by family and friends for her generous spirit.
