Sunny "Yim Kwok" KUNG
Sunny 'Yim Kwok' KUNG passed away on January 31, 2026. Born in Chungshan, China, he later moved to Hong Kong and worked in the shipping industry with American Steamlines. He married his childhood sweetheart Judy after a long courtship. Sunny moved to Niagara Falls, Canada with his family, where he learned the restaurant business at Rose Garden/Jade Garden and made many friends. He founded Ho Ho's (later renamed Beijing Gardens) in Fort Erie with his partners. Sunny is survived by his wife Judy, late sister Suzy (late husband David and daughter Tammy), brothers Tim (wife Nancy, children Donald and Sarah), Paul (wife Cathee, children Bernice and Tim), sons Peter, Tommy, Jimmy, daughter-in-law Kim, grandchildren Madelyn and Alex. Friends and family will be received at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Avenue, Niagara Falls on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A funeral will be held in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. followed by an interment at Fairview Cemetery.
