Robert "Bob" Austin

Robert 'Bob' Austin passed away on July 30, 2026, at the age of 74, one month shy of his 75th birthday. He is predeceased by his parents, Douglas and Eileen Austin. Bob is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gerry; his children, Brad, Randy, and Stacie, and their spouses, Jen, Robyn, and Brett; his grandchildren, Abby, Brady, Jason, and Ryder; his sister, Barb Harriman, and her husband, John; and many nieces and nephews. Bob dedicated over 30 years to his career as a social worker for the Niagara Region, demonstrating compassion and commitment to helping others. He was an avid sports enthusiast, coaching minor hockey and baseball, and a devoted supporter of his grandchildren's athletic pursuits. Bob enjoyed golfing, swimming, and outdoor activities, and had a passion for music, particularly classic rock. His family will remember his quick wit, playful spirit, and generous nature. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Essentials Cremation and Burial Services Inc.
