Mario Giulio ELIA

Mario Giulio Elia passed away on February 13, 2026, at the age of 101. He was the beloved husband of the late Maria Antonietta Elia, whom he married 78 years ago. Mario is survived by his children, Frank, Felix, Mary Elia, and Rose Gautreau, as well as his grandchildren, Mario, MaryAnne, Jaimie, Adrian, Susanna, Paul, Darryl, Kristen, and Will, and his great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Iolanda Mancuso, Ottavio Elia, and Gesina Elia, as well as many nieces, nephews, and in-laws in Canada and Italy. Mario was predeceased by his siblings, Giacomino Elia, Fiorina Cardamone, Antonio, Assunta, Adelina, and Orlando Elia. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff, nurses, and doctors at Meadows of Dorchester and GNGH for their care and compassion. The family will receive friends at Morse & Son Funeral Home in Niagara Falls on Thursday, February 19, 2026, between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Scapular Church on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 1 p.m., followed by entombment at Fairview Mausoleum.
