Judith Ann Clarkson passed away on February 12, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on May 11, 1944, in Pittston, Pennsylvania, to Florence Snyder Cunard and William Ulrich, Judith was the second oldest of eleven children. She married Frederick Clarkson and later divorced in April 1982. Her two daughters, Kimberly Marie Eaton and Pamela Amy Clark, were her greatest blessings. Judith was preceded in death by her mother and father, her former husband Frederick Clarkson, her brothers Frank Snyder and James Cunard, and her sisters Ann-Marie Turner and Mary Hughes. She is survived by her daughters Kimberly Eaton and Pamela Clark, her grandchildren Courtney Rose Simchick and her wife Lori Cook, Kelsey Simchick, Cayley Damper and her husband Dontay Damper, Karissa Simchick, Maddison Clarkson, Nathan Simchick and his wife Ashley Simchick, and Jacob Eaton, and her great-grandchildren Cayden Damper and Dakoda Damper. Judith is also survived by her siblings Margaret West, Florence Malcynski and husband Mark, Sharon Leiva and husband Willy, Edmund Cunard and wife Mary Lou, Paul Cunard and wife Joanie, Eugene Cunard and wife Karen, and many nieces and nephews. Judith lived in Hamilton, Ontario, for thirteen years before returning to Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, in 1988. She worked as a seamstress for FellFab and Levi Strauss before retiring in 1990. In 2002, she returned to Canada upon the birth of her granddaughter Maddison, and in 2020, she moved to Texas to be closer to her daughter Pamela. Born deaf and living with physical disabilities, Judith faced many challenges throughout her life. Despite these challenges, she remained fiercely independent, resilient, and determined. Funeral arrangements will be handled by Morse & Son Funeral Home.
