Janet Elizabeth (Ratcliffe) HOLDEN

Janet Elizabeth (Ratcliffe) Holden passed peacefully on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at River Road Retirement Residence in Niagara Falls, ON, in her 80th year, at the age of 79. She was predeceased by her parents, Jane (Townend - 2002) and James 'Jim' Ratcliffe (2018), her son, Robert Holden (2010), and her ex-husband, Joseph Holden. Janet is survived by her son, Matthew Holden, her brother, William Ratcliffe (Linda), her sister Ann Milani (Dennis), and her granddaughter, Delaney Holden. She will also be missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and especially by her travel 'buddy', Cousin Linda Frandsen. Janet retired from the Niagara Catholic District School Board as a Library Tech, having had placement in elementary schools. She was proud of and enjoyed her career in school libraries and continued to value her friendship with fellow library technicians up until her passing. A cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Morse & Son Funeral Home, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. prior to her Celebration of Life. A reception will follow at the Morse & Son Event Centre. Donations may be made to Project Share/your local food bank or a charity of your choice.
