Giuseppe Maurice Merante of Niagara Falls, Ontario, passed away on September 14, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on September 18, 1937, he was a beloved member of his family and community. Giuseppe was predeceased by his parents, Lina Pullano and Nicola Merante, as well as his sisters, Maria DeGiuli and Valeria Fagiani. He is survived by his wife, Luisa Roma; children, Maria Primi, Nick, and Michael; grandchildren, Michael, Marco, Daniella, Christina, Isabella, Joseph, and Francesca; and siblings, Anita Montagano, Lilla Kostelac, Anthony Merante, and Lou Merante. Visitation will take place on September 21, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Patterson Funeral Home Ltd., with a prayer service at 2:30 PM. A funeral Mass will be held on September 22, 2026, at Our Lady of the Scapular Church. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
