George MUNROE

George Munroe passed away peacefully at his home on February 24, 2026, in his 96th year. He is survived by his children, Steven (Diane) Munroe, Cathy (Ed) Golubienko, and Laurie (Greg) Yellenik, and his grandchildren, Ashley Hehn (Kevin), and great-grandchildren, Bexley and Tristan. He will be missed by Cabo, his best boy. Predeceased by his loving wife, Hazel (2014), and his siblings, Steve (2013), Clarence (2017), Daisy (2021), and Earl (2024). He is also survived by his loving sister, Ida. A proud Nova Scotian, George made his home in Niagara Falls with Hazel and lived in the family home for over 62 years before moving to Crystal Beach two years ago. He was an auto mechanic by trade and skilled in carpentry, electrical matters, and fixing things that just didn't work. He started at Victoria Motors in Niagara Falls in 1954 and retired as a long-time employee of Fleet Canada. As per his wishes, there will be no funeral service, and cremation has taken place.
