Garda Eleanor CLARK (nee Lounsbury)
Garda Eleanor Clark passed away on February 22, 2026, at the age of 87. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter Robert (Pete) Clark, who predeceased her in 2008, after fifty years of marriage. Garda was a loving mother to their three sons, Peter John, Robert Edward (Patricia), and Richard James (Lorianne). She cherished all her grandchildren, including Samantha Clark (Nick Mazmanian), Dream (Reid Ackland), Destiny Clark, and great-grandchildren, Nash and Lake Ackland, Ava and Felix Mazmanian. Garda was predeceased by her father, Lt. Colonel Edward Joseph Lounsbury, her mother, Mary Beatrice (nee Chapman) Lounsbury/Shepherd, brothers Darrel James Lounsbury and Graham Lounsbury, and her grandson, Mitchell Robert James Clark. Garda will be missed by her beloved siblings, Sandra Chambless (David), Robert Lounsbury (Norma), MaryJo McQuinn (Mac), Charles and Richard Lounsbury, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and their families. Born in 1939 in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Garda spent her formative years in Orillia, Ontario, and came to Niagara Falls as a student nurse at the age of 17. A proud graduate of the Greater Niagara General Hospital School of Nursing, Garda enjoyed a dedicated career there for over 30 years. Visitation will be held at Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main Street, on Wednesday, February 25th from 1-3 o'clock, followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m. Cremation will follow.
