Frederick George "Fred" BECKETT

Frederick George "Fred" Beckett passed away on August 1, 2026, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, aged 73, shortly before his 74th birthday. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jeannie; his son, Will, and his wife Sue; his daughter, Susan "Suzy"; his stepdaughter, Danielle (Ryan) O'Connor; and his sister, Tammy. His grandchildren are Catherine, Lillian, Taylor (Blaine), Hayley, Dakota and Dawson. He is also survived by his dogs, Nucky, and his cat, Simon. He was predeceased by his daughter Wendy, his parents Eldon and Lillian Beckett, his brother Jim, his sisters Betty and Mary, and his canine companion Grissom. Fred was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing at his family trailer in Gravenhurst. In accordance with his wishes, cremation was performed by Essentials Cremation & Burial Service in Niagara Falls, followed by a private burial at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. The family welcomes donations toward a tree planting at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens in his memory.
