Fred Lawrence Keith

Fred Lawrence Keith passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 20, 2026, in his 100th year. He was the beloved husband of Kitty and cherished father of Lawrence Keith of Whistler, BC, Mark Keith of Niagara Falls, ON, and stepfather to Sandra Emerson of Burlington, ON and Karen Hodson of Oakville. Fred was a much loved 'Grampy' to Jillian Emerson, Alexis Emerson, Justin Keith, and Holly Mohammed. He was the dear brother of Harold, Jim, Ruby Hicks, and Hattie Marie Perry. Fred was predeceased by his son Patrick Keith, granddaughter Trisha Keith, parents Dorothy and Harold Keith, brothers Venning, Leon, Gene, and sisters Blanche Keith, Eva Corey, and Vera Keirstead. Born in Canaan Forks, New Brunswick, Fred worked in the farming and lumber industries before moving to Ontario in 1952. He had a long career with Nabisco Co., serving as Bakery & Plant Manager in Napanee and Manager of the Milk Bone Division in Brampton. Fred was a member of the Napanee Rotary Club and the Burlington Probus Club. He enjoyed golfing, hiking, gardening, cross-country skiing, and woodworking. Fred passed away on June 20, 2026, at the age of 99.
