Eriks STEINBACHS

Eriks Steinbachs passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026, at the age of 80, following complications of heart failure at the Greater Niagara General Hospital. Born on November 28, 1945, in Sweden, Eriks later made his home in Niagara Falls, Canada. He is now reunited with his beloved wife, the late Christina, whom he married for 41 years. Eriks will be deeply missed by his sons, Janis and Sammy Steinbachs, and his four cherished grandchildren, Christina, Gus, Erik, and Elizabeth. He is also survived by his brother, Uldis Steinbachs, and brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Sotirios Stavropoulos and Efthymios Ladas. Eriks was predeceased by his parents, Janis and Laura Steinbachs; parents-in-law, Spiros and Anthoula Stavropoulos; brother, Aldi; sister, Daina; cousin, Peter; and sisters-in-law, Niki Ladas and Helen Steinbachs. Eriks founded the accounting firm Steinbachs and Chapelle and built a respected career as a Chartered Accountant. He will be remembered for his humour, wisdom, guidance, and the love and support he gave to his family and friends.
