Elvira Helen (Nee Balint) LUCAS

Elvira Helen Lucas (nee Balint) passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at the age of 86. She was the cherished wife of Michale, who predeceased her in 2023. Elvira was the dearly loved mother of Andrew Lucas. Born and raised in Niagara Falls, Elvira helped out on the family farm, waitressed at the Skylon, and worked at Niagara Parks. She devoted over 50 years to teaching, coaching, and volunteering, teaching at Stamford Collegiate and Denis Morris, and later becoming the special needs coordinator at Niagara College. Elvira will be remembered for her many local and Ontario-wide championships in volleyball and basketball. She is survived by her son Andrew. The family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls, on Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. A graveside service will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
