Edith HODGEN

Edith Hodgen passed away peacefully at her home on August 24, 2026, at the age of 92. She was a beloved mother to James Duross and Susan (Ray) Rice, and a devoted grandmother to Elizabeth (Gerry), Christine (Zach), Annie (John), Heather (Alex), Valerie, and Jennifer. Edith was also a great-grandmother to six and a great-great-grandmother to one. She is remembered fondly by her sister-in-law Jeannette, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Predeceased by her parents, Abraham and Edith (née Pierson) Hodgen, she also lost siblings Jean (Calvin), James 'Joe', and Elizabeth (Wilfred). A dedicated Registered Nurse at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, Edith enjoyed traveling, oil painting, and playing the piano in her retirement. A graveside service will be held at Lundy's Lane Cemetery on September 11, 2026, at 2:45 p.m., followed by a reception at Grace Gospel Church at 3:30 p.m. Memorial contributions to Project Share or Samaritan's Purse Canada are appreciated.
