Donald "Don" James FRASER
It is with great sorrow that the family of Donald James Fraser announces his passing on February 3, 2026, at the age of 80. He was the beloved husband of Karen Fraser (née Woolley) for 50 wonderful years; a loving father to Tyler (Jennifer) Fraser; and a proud and devoted grandpa to Brooklyn and Chase, who brought him immense joy. The youngest of five siblings, Don has been reunited with his parents, Lorne and Lillian Fraser. He will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Don was a simple man with a lifelong love of cars. A passionate NASCAR fan, he also enjoyed drag racing and had a special appreciation for old cars. For 33 years, Don was self-employed in auto parts sales. He was also known to many as 'Mr. Fix It'; there was very little he couldn't repair. Don loved escaping the Canadian winters by heading down south, where he could enjoy the warmth. Summers were spent camping and fishing with his family, creating memories he treasured. He was also a sportsman, playing hockey with the Old Timers Association and enjoying time on the golf course. Above all else, Don's family meant the world to him. He adored his grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with those he loved. Don also had a fondness for Boxer dogs and shared a special bond with the many he owned over the years, including Karen and Don's beloved Suzy. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Linhaven Nursing Home, Henley Unit, for their compassion and exceptional care. It was clear how much Don meant to the staff, and despite his dry sense of humour, they were always ready for a laugh with him. In keeping with Don's wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or to a charity that reminds you of Don. Condolences may be made on Don's obituary at https://essentialscbs.com.
