Aime Mason (née Gutman)
Aime Mason (née Gutman) passed away on January 16, 2026, at the age of 84. Born in Estonia on January 10, 1942, Aime moved to Sweden and then to Canada when she was eight. She was a devoted wife of Ken Mason for 61 years, a loving mother to Tania Campbell (Bill) and Chris Mason (Nikki), and an adored grandmother to William, Austin, and Ainslee Campbell, and Jake, Ethan, and Lucas Mason. Aime was also a dear sister of Kit Patterson (Jim), and Andres Gutman (Sheila), and will be fondly remembered by her extended family and many friends. Aime graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a degree in English and History, and then attended McMaster University for a one-year physical education program. She worked as a teacher, with a particular interest in working with students with special needs, and was a talented artist who filled her home with beautiful oil paintings. Aime enjoyed traveling, including annual March Break trips to Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head Island with their family friends, and in retirement, she and Ken traveled extensively to Europe, Asia, Africa, and North and South America. The family extends sincere gratitude to the Marotta Family Hospital Emergency and PCU teams for their compassionate care, and thanks friends, colleagues, and neighbors for their love and support. Cremation has taken place, and the family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME.
