Irene Frances MacDonald

Irene Frances MacDonald passed away on July 21, 2026, at the age of 94. Born on September 14, 1931, in Peterborough, Ontario, she is survived by her husband Ronald Hine, siblings Joseph, William, Philip, Margaret, Mary, Jane, Dorothy, and Joan, as well as thirty-three nephews and nieces, their partners, and forty-eight grandnephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents, Dr. Joseph MacDonald and Irene Bartlett. Irene will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and presence. Visitation will be held on July 28, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on July 29, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A burial will take place on July 29, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nyumbani Children's Village for HIV-afflicted children in Kenya.
