BETH LAURENE LOUISE VERNON

Beth Laurene Louise Vernon passed away on January 29, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on February 19, 1939, in Toronto, Beth lived a full and vibrant life. She was married to Robert for 56 years and was a dedicated volunteer, serving as Vice-President of the Auxiliary to the former York Country Hospital and as President of the Newmarket Ladies Maple Leaf Probus Club. Beth had many passions, including bridge and bid euchre, gardening, needlework, and entertaining. She was also a competitive curler and a talented singer who performed with the York Philharmonic Choir. Beth is lovingly remembered by her husband, Robert; her daughter, Laurie (Karl); her son, Brent; her daughter-in-law, Dominique; and her grandchildren, William (Kaitlyn), Samantha (Emmanuel), and Benjamin. A celebration of Beth's life will be held on February 11, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Madison Greenhouse, 160 Bayview Parkway, Newmarket. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Margaret Bahen Hospice.
