Barbara Murgatroyd

The family of Barbara Murgatroyd announces her passing on September 25, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on January 16, 1939, Barbara is fondly remembered by her family and friends. She was the beloved daughter of Thomas Donald Miller and the cherished wife of Robert Ellis Murgatroyd. Barbara is survived by her daughters, Meg and Courtney, her sister-in-law Beth Lennard, and her nieces and nephews: Kathy, John, Sue, Rob, Joan, and Richard. She also leaves behind her sons-in-law, Ross and Joel, her granddaughter Miller, and her stepgranddaughters, Sydney and Gillian. A celebration of life will take place on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Postmark Hotel in Newmarket. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the OSU Children's Library Fund, established by her niece.
