Egon Lassen Keller passed away on March 12, 2026, at the age of 89. He was born on February 18, 1937, in Denmark, where he trained as a pastry chef. Egon is survived by his life companion of 34 years, Mireille Rominger, and family, including Eric Rominger, Julia Rominger, Mandy Rominger, and Jean Miller. Private family arrangements have been made. Egon was well known in the industry, having served as President of the Pastry Chefs Guild of Ontario for 20 years. He later worked as a sales representative for La Rocca and operated a chocolate stand at the Barrie Farmers’ Market upon his retirement. The family would like to extend their thanks to Royal Victoria Hospital and Hospice Simcoe for their care and compassion over the past three months.
