Frederick James Fitzsimmins passed away in Gravenhurst, Ontario on March 8, 2026, at the age of 85. He was a father, a grandfather, and a great-grandfather. Frederick is survived by his daughter Wendy (John) Visser, grandsons John (Matt), Christopher, and Justin Visser, great-granddaughters Isabelle and Olivia Visser, as well as his siblings Eileen (Rick), Martha (Sigi), and Jim (Sharon). He was predeceased by his wife Anne, their two sons Doug and Michael, his siblings Tom, Doris, Helen, and Alice, their parents Thomas and Dorothy, and his friend Anne Foll. As per his request, there will be no service with his cremation, and an interment will follow in the spring.
