26 May Raymond John Hosick

Raymond John Hosick, born on February 2, 1952, passed away peacefully at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital on May 19, 2026, at the age of 74. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. with a tribute/eulogy to be held at 11 a.m. at Liberty North, 100 Caplan Avenue, Unit 1, Barrie, ON. Raymond lived in various locations, including Toronto, Bradford, Tecumseth Township, Alliston, Angus, Borden, Barrie, and New Lowell. He worked as a Welder, then as a Mechanic, and eventually opened his own garage in Barrie. After a long recovery from Meningitis, Raymond continued his career as a Mechanic with the Department of National Defence at Canadian Forces Base Borden, where he provided over 25 years of service until his retirement in 2012. He was an active member of his union and The Good Guys Carting Dogs organization with his Akita dog, Kumo.
