Arnold "Arnie" Beet peacefully passed away in his 89th year in Barrie, Ontario at Roberta Place on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on December 18, 1937, in Burnley, Lancashire, England, Arnie was predeceased by his wife, Patricia; his brother Harold (Jean); and his sister Dorothy (Raymond). He is survived by his youngest sister Mary (predeceased by Bill). Arnie married Patsy on April 1, 1961, and in 1973 they immigrated to Canada with their two daughters, Karen Kidman (Mike) and Alison Lintner (Steve). He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Devan Leeds (Rebecca), Cameron Lintner (Sam), Shauna Sisti (David), and Logan Lintner (Alyssa), as well as his great-granddaughter Emma Leeds. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and dear friends around the world. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Bull and Barrel Pub in Barrie on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Interment will take place at Innisvale Crematorium on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.
