Hendrika Van Kooten (née Veldhuyzen) passed away on January 18, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on March 27, 1936, in De Bilt, Holland, she was the eldest of four children born to Ben and Engelina Veldhuyzen. Hendrika was predeceased by her husband Jerry Van Kooten in 2021. A Celebration of Life will be held on July 25, 2026, at the IOOF in Barrie.
