Ronald GINGERICH

Ronald Carl Gingerich passed away peacefully at Stratford General Hospital on April 14, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on October 13, 1938, to the late Willis and Mabel (Bast) Gingerich, he was a longtime resident of New Hamburg, Ontario. Ronald is survived by his devoted wife, Judy (Erb) Gingerich, and their loving family, including son Dale R. Gingerich and his wife Patti, grandchildren Abbey Gingerich, Jeremy D. Gingerich, and Laura L. Odom and her husband Brandon, and great-grandchildren Caleb and Griffin Odom. He was predeceased by his siblings Verlus, Richard, and Robert, and is also remembered by his in-laws Marietta Gingerich, Shirley Gingerich, Rev. F. Paul Erb, and Evelyn Erb. Ronald will be fondly remembered for his love of simple pleasures, his strong sense of community, and his quiet service and kindness as a faithful member of Steinmann's Mennonite Church. He was an active member of the Lions Club and enjoyed playing Old Timers baseball and watching minor, junior, and intermediate hockey in New Hamburg. Ronald and Judy shared many travels together and cherished time spent at their trailer surrounded by family and friends. He had a special fondness for his cats, including his beloved companion, Charlie. Cremation has taken place, and a memorial visitation will be held.
