George King Spears passed away on February 8, 2026, at the age of 78, from a stroke he experienced while kayaking in Naples, Florida. Born on October 8, 1947, in Wingham, Ontario, to Mary (nee King) and Borden Spears, George was the loving husband of Kasia and the adored father of Stefan (Carina Lentsch), Sarah (Caleb Domsy), and Ben (Sophie Duncan). He was also a beloved grandfather of Scarlet, Vincent, Esme, and Anna. George is survived by his siblings, Laura (Al Mullin), John (Elisabeth Marsden), and Tom (Deborah). Private services will be held.
