Ruth Simpson

The family announces the passing of Ruth Simpson of Napanee, Ontario, on October 18, 2026, at the age of 97. Ruth was born on April 15, 1929. She was predeceased by her husband, Harwood Simpson; her son, Paul Simpson; her parents, Bert and Vera Kimmett; and her siblings, Jean Irwin and William Kimmett (Bill). Ruth is survived by her daughter, Brenda; her son-in-law, Brian Luffman; her grandchildren, Nathan Luffman of Toronto, Dana Hitchins (Steven) of Westport, and Kara Petit (Stefan) of Napanee; and her great-grandchildren, Quinn Hitchins, Noelle, and Oaklen Petit. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family. For those wishing to make a donation, Ruth requested contributions to the Morningstar Mission in Napanee.
