LOIS (LOIE) ANNE URQUHART

Lois (Loie) Anne Urquhart passed away peacefully at Andy's House, a hospice in her beloved Muskoka, on Friday, March 27, 2026, at the age of 74. She was predeceased by her parents, Norm and Enid Urquhart, and her husband, William (Bill) Hunnisett. Loie is survived by her son, Wesley Hunnisett; her siblings, Heather (Urquhart) Coulter and Ian Urquhart; her nieces and nephews, Jamie, Wendy, and Maggie Coulter, and Natalie, Gordon, and Kate Urquhart; and the Hunnisett family, Joan and Edmund Freedberg, Ruth Wade, and Gabe Di Cristofaro and Lucas Wade. Born in Toronto on March 18, 1952, Loie attended Bishop Strachan School and later pursued her post-secondary education at the University of British Columbia and the University of Guelph, where she completed a B.A. in Rural Geography. She met Bill in 1985 and they were married in 1987. Loie lived a tranquil rural life focused on her family, with a deep love for nature and passion for conservation. Private services will be held.
