Mrs. Mary-Ellen Gillies (née Elliott)

Mary-Ellen Gillies (née Elliott) passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 23, 2026, at the age of 76. A talented musician, singer, actor, and teacher, she will be greatly missed by her loving husband, sons and daughters, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. Mary-Ellen was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and her enormous capacity for love made her truly special. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Hamilton Health Sciences. A service will be held at Mount Hamilton Baptist Church on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 11 a.m.
