Ruzena Kapitan, born on June 20, 1948, passed away on August 31, 2026, at the age of 78. She is survived by her devoted husband Mike, children Michael (Nadia) and Debbie (Matt), and cherished grandchildren Carissa, Matteo, Landon, and Maxim. Ruzena is also survived by her siblings Igor (Milena), Maria (late David), Dusan (Ivana), and Michal (Barbara), along with many nieces, nephews, family, and friends who will miss her dearly. She was predeceased by her parents, Maria and Stefan Doric, and her brother Stephan (Mary). Visitation took place on September 3, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Peel Chapel in Mississauga. A funeral service was held on September 4, 2026, at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Church.
