Richard Rosamond

Richard Rosamond of Mississauga, Ontario, passed away on September 29, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on December 19, 1945, Richard is remembered for the many relationships he cultivated throughout his life. He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth Rosamond; his parents, James Edgar and Teresa Rosamond; his brothers, Donald, Norman, Kenneth (Evelyn), and Thomas Howard; as well as his nephews, James Rosamond and Steven Kennedy. Richard is survived by his girlfriend, Lorie Walker; his children, Kimberley Burnette (Sheldon) of Mississauga and Duane Rosamond of Belleville; and his grandchildren, Secoyah, Ashantie, Akeelah Burnette, Jackson, and Claire Rosamond. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Bill Kennedy (late Irene), and his nieces and nephews, Bradley Kennedy, Jason Kennedy, Tracy Kennedy, Lynn Allgeier, and Pam Hellam. Visitation will take place on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, followed by burial at Calendrier Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery at 12:00 PM. Donations in Richard's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Ontario Federation for Cerebral Palsy.
