RAIJA MARIA VARVAS

Raija Maria Varvas (née Korpela) passed away suddenly on May 30, 2026, at the age of 84. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Matti, and their children, Mark (Michelle), Eva (Mark Wallace), and Sara (Joel Klinck). She was a wonderful Mummo to Eliana, Ethan, Jed, Logan, Colin, Troy, Andrew, and Amos. Raija will be fondly remembered by her siblings, in-laws, nieces and nephews, extended family, church family, and many friends. A Celebration of Life will take place at Saalem/Bayview Family Church, 2570 Bayview Avenue, North York, ON, on Saturday, July 4th, at 1 p.m. Refreshment reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ministries of Saalem/Bayview Family Church.
