MARY DONATINA HOWATT

Mary Donatina Howatt passed peacefully in Toronto, surrounded by family on June 3, 2026, at the age of 98. She was born and raised in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, and later moved to Toronto where she married George Howatt. Mary is survived by her seven children, Bradley, Cynthia, Bruce, Robert, Joel, Mary, and Elizabeth, and their partners. She was the proud and loving grandmother to Jacqueline, Paula, Jessica, Daniel, Brendan, Colton, Justin, Alyssa, Molly, Alexander, and Brayden; and great-grandmother to Rory, Luna, Barrett, Mia, and Lucy. Mary was predeceased by her parents, John Donald Gillis and Loretta Gillis, and siblings. She is survived by siblings Gary, Dolores, Daniel, Donna, and Sharon. A service will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Scarborough, at a date to be determined.
