MARK NICHOLAS CUMMIMG MAYBERRY

Mark Nicholas Cumming Mayberry, born on April 29, 1986, passed away on August 23, 2026, following a tragic fall. He was the beloved son of Laurie and John and the cherished brother of Anna (Dylan). Mark was a talented chef, sailor, and musician, and he spent his life in Toronto. His early career as a sailor on tall ships, including the Playfair and Fair Jean, took him across the Great Lakes and beyond. After training as a chef in Paris, he returned to Toronto to fulfill his culinary aspirations. Mark was also a passionate member of the Morris dancing and folk music community, known for his vibrant social presence and love for sharing music and conversation. He will be deeply missed by his family and a wide circle of friends. In his memory, donations can be made to the Brigs Youth Sail Training Program, and he encourages others to consider organ donation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
