MARJORIE ELIZABETH FONCK

Marjorie Elizabeth Fonck, nee Chestnutt, passed away on August 6, 2026. Born in Toronto at Toronto Western Hospital, Marjorie attended Immanuel Baptist Church and was a graduate of Teachers College and York University. She was a dedicated teacher, recognized as teacher of the year, and created an ideal classroom environment where children could develop to their fullest potential. Marjorie's teaching career spanned multiple generations, with parents eager to have their children in her program, and her ideas were highlighted on national television. Despite being approached to become a full-time professor, Marjorie remained committed to the classroom and the children she loved. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Turner & Porter Peel Chapel in Mississauga.
