Marie TERRY

Marie Terry (nee Young) passed away peacefully at Juravinski Hospital, Hamilton, Ontario, on Friday, February 27, 2026, at the age of 97. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Charles, of 64 years. Marie was a loving mother to Wayne and daughter-in-law Lynn, and a proud grandmother to Patrick and Sean, as well as a great-grandmother to Levi. She was predeceased by nine siblings. Marie is survived by her loving and devoted sister, Doris, and her brother, Stephen, as well as her sister-in-law, 'Jumbo,' in Boston. She will be sadly missed by a multitude of nieces, nephews, and friends. Born in 1928 in Bathurst, New Brunswick, Marie moved to Hamilton to live with her brother Jeff, where she met her future husband, Charles. After Charles retired from Dofasco, they moved to a farm in Muskoka for 15 years, before relocating to London, Ontario. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Bill and Jeanelle for being wonderful neighbours, as well as the staff at Chartwell Deerview Crossing and 3F Juravinski Hospital for their care and support over the years. Marie was known for her constant smiling and laughing, and her desire to help others. She was an avid crafter, having crocheted hundreds of baby blankets and knitted numerous pairs of mitts for charities.
